- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)traps, dogs, guns and bicycle lamps at night. They are also caught with ferrets and nets.
The ferret is muzzled and put back the burrow. A net is put on top of each burrow for fear the rabbit would get away. Hunting is mostly done on Sunday. The hunters that are in the towns come out through the country after a fix with hounds, bagles and guns.
Curlew, snipe, plover, lapwing, wild-duck, wild-goose and many other game birds are shot also. - John Foody of Emlymoran made his living by hunting. He would kill the rabbits and sell them.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
