  1. A game called "the priest of the parish" was generally played at wakes. The leader called himself the priest. He named all the people all around generally giving funny names. Of course there was a clerk. One was "bad ounce of tobacco," another, "stuff the twig in the window," another "false oats," and so on.The "priest" then began like this:
