  1. Toothache: (a) The white part of a frogskin rubbed on the gum (Foley R)
    (b). Get an old rag or piece of bag. Light it. Put out the blaze and leave the cloth smoldering. Inhale this smoke for a short time + the ache should go (N. Mullaney).
    (c). Take a mouthful of cold water + turn your back to the fire

    (d). A piece of tobacco stuffed in the tooth. (Th. Lasey).
    (e) Place a little salt in the tooth. (T. Mulvey).

  2. Warts (a) Brown vinegar or
    Water in a crevice in a growing tree (A Beirne).
    b)
    (b). Rain-water from a hole in the wall applied "In the name of the Father and of the Son etc. (D. Gilmartin).
    (c) Same as (b) except you must not be looking for the water
    or (d) Get a black snail and rub it on the wart. Place the snail on a blackthorn bush + leave it there. The snail will wither away + the wart will go also.
    (e) The best cure is to get a bunch of dandelions. They must be freshly plucked or they are useless. Squeeze out the white juice + put it on the wart. Do this daily + soon the wart will blacken+ fall off. (c, d, e, N. Mulvaney).
