About three miles from Ballyfarnon there is a holy well called Lossar. At this there is a big flagstone resting on two others, each about a foot high. Anyone going under this will never suffer from a sore back. (W. Meehan)

(a) The sufferer came to a man who made "healing line" which is a plain piece of twine, which the man makes charms over. You bind it round the wrist and leave it there till cured. (Fr. Devins)

(b) Let tap run over it. (M. Hunt)
