  1. One day a man was walking along a country road. The weather being warm he soon felt tired. Seeing a car approach he stopped it and asked the driver for a "lift." As he was a farmer he knew little about the new fast cars. The driver, to have a bit of fun put up speed till he was going very fast. The farmer began to see a milestone every few seconds, so he asked the driver what was the name of the graveyard. He answered "That is no graveyard; those are the milestones you see.
