  1. Shops were not common in the old days and there is only one little shop nearer than Sligo twon. It is three and a half miles from us and Sligo is five. We get bread and paraffin oil and odd things in the near shop but most things we get from town. The people round here sell milk in town every day and it is Easy Enough now to get a message out. Long ago my father + mother went to town on a cart every Saturday for the groceries. Sometimes potatoes were given to the Grocer in payment for good. Goods bought without
