- People in the olden days had three meals a day. They ate Indian Meal or Pinhead Oatmeal with milk int he morning and at night before going to bed, and they had potatoes and buttermilk for their dinner. People gathered round the table or round the fireside + put their mugs or bowls on the hob.
My grandmother has an old-fashioned table made for her by my father. It is oblong in shape + lies fla against the wall. it is hinged there + the legs are on hinges too so that they can be put flat against the(continues on next page)
