  1. The games we play are draughts, ludo, snakes and ladders and Joey. Joey is played with rings and whoever can score a hundred first by throwing the rings round numbers, wins.
    Sometimes in the evenings after tea we all sit round the fire and play "Spying". One of us starts by saying "I spy with my little eye "a". "A" stands for some article within view beginning with this letter as "ankle". Whoever guesses the right word then gives the next letter. We often give words in Irish too.
