  1. There is the remains of a fort near Ballinorley School. It must be a very old one because very little of it remains, It is circular in shape and has some trees growing in it. It is believed to be unlucky to cut a tree in a fort. One man put cattle to graze in his fort and a cow and a calf both broke their legs. This fort near the school is called "Brown's Fort" because a man named Mr Frank Brown owns the land on which the fort is situated. Nobody around here believe's there are fairies in this fort.
