    When my mother was young at school she used to thread the hips of the wild rose with a needle and thread and make necklaces of them. She used to make baskets from chestnuts too.

    There was a man not far from our house named Will McGowan and he used to make little men that used to fight. He made them of wood. He's still alive but he doesn't make them now.
