  1. Superstitions.
    To break a mirror is seven years bad luck.
    To meet a red haired person in the morning is bad luck for the rest of the day.
    If a picture falls it is a sign somebody will die soon.
    To see crows hovering about a certain house, it is a sign somebody will soon die in that house.
    If you see a certain number of magpies it may indicate joy or sorrow, One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a wedding, four for a boy.
    It is said to be very unlucky to interfere with the fort, or lone bushes which are to be seen in many places in the country.
    To let anything fall from your hand is a disappointment.
    If you walk under a ladder you will never grow any bigger.
