Long ago there was a man in this country who went away one morning to get married.
When it was time for him to be coming home all the people gathered to welcome the bride.
They saw a carriage coming. It came up to the door and stood. All the people rushed to it and opened the doors but there was no one in it. It was only a fairy carriage. The wedding party saw the carriage departing. It turned down a boreen and went into a fort. There was great rejoicings that night in the fort.
