  1. Long ago a man went up to Glencar mountain after sheep. There came a mist and he could not get home. He went into a cave. He went in a good distance to the cave and met a woman. She gave him a farl of oat bread but he would not take it. If he had, he would have to stay inside- for she was a fairy woman. He turned round to get out again, but was overcome by weakness. He had the Féar gorta. He turned his coat and then found his way out. Then he returned home.
