  1. One day Paddy the Irish man went to the bog for turf with an ass and creels. He brought his son with him. He was not long in the bog when he saw a priest coming up to him. Paddy did not like to meet the priest. He sent his son down with the turf and he went down the near way himself. He met the priest when he was near the road. The priest told him to bless himself. Paddy said In the Name of the Father and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. The priest asked him where was the Son and Paddy said he was gone round the other way with the turf.
