  1. Once there lived a man in Co. Leitrim who owned a cottage that was haunted. He offerd it for sale but could not find a tenant. At last he offered £5 to any man who would sleep in it for one night.
    There came a man to him who knew not fear and made a bargain with him. The first night the owner of the house locked this man in and gave him a bottle of whiskey, plenty of tobacco and a good fire.
    At midnight, ghosts came and danced through the room.
    The man said to the ghosts "Isn't the place wide enough for you and you not to dance on my legs." So he drove them out. Next morning the owner came to see if he were alive or dead. He asked him to remain another night and he agreed. So he gave him
