  1. Once upon a time three men were travelling. One of them was an Irish man and another a Scotch man and the other was an English man. One day there came a man to them who told them to sit down on one side of the road. He also said that he would sit on the other side and which ever of them would act in the laziest way he would give him half a crown. The English man went first across the road as lazy as he could and the man told him to sit by his side. Then the Scotch man started and went across the road the same way. Then it was the Irish man's turn to go across. But he told the man to come over to him as he was too lazy to travel. The Irish man won the prize.
