  1. Once upon a time Thomas Higgins of Carnadoo Srandhill Sligo made a boat the time of the herring fishing here. It was about thirty-five years ago. He painted it red when he had it made. One Sunday they were going to bring it out The boat was so big that they could not get it out. They had to break it up again. So all their work was useless.
