  1. When the "Erin Hope" came to Ireland with guns for the Fenians they were going to land ar Rosses Point. Three men went out from the Point and told them not to land because the place was full of English soldiers, but was not an English soldier for miles around. The boat sailed away and was caught. After an hour the Fenians from around came to meet the "Erin Hope" and found that she was gone.
