    Long ago the old people used to take three meals every day, the breakfast at nine o'clock in the morning, the dinner at two in the day and supper at half-past nine in the evening
    The people used to work before eating their breakfast, which consisted of stirabout.
    The dinner consisted of potatoes and milk, and the supper consisted of stirabout also, or sometimes potatoes

    Meat was not eaten often only at Feasts and it used to be salt
    Vegetables were not eaten often
    The vessels used before cups came into use were mere mugs and noggins.
