  2. On May morning the people used to go out before the sun would rise and get rowan tree root. They used to make a ring of it and put it on the lid of the churn to prevent the fairies from taking the butter.
    One time a Protestant's butter was taken and he went to the priest to get it back. The priest blessed the butter and the man got it back again.
