    1. When the white clouds settle on Benbulbin mountain there is going to be rain.
    2. The sky gets low when rain is coming, and it gets high when good weather is coming.
    3. The sun gets dull and yellow when it is going to rain, and it gets red and bright when good weather is coming.
    4. The stars get bright, and there is a ring round the moon when bad weather is coming.
    5. When the chimney smokes a storm is coming.
    6. The birds fly inland towards the mountain when a storm is coming and they fly towards the sea when good weather is coming.
    7. The beetle begin to cross the road and if they are not killed bad weather will come.
    8. When snow is coming the fire is very bright.
