  1. 2. A Ghost Story
Long ago when Henry Currid and his brother Pat were about fourteen years, they were saving hay near an old house in the townland of Drum, when evening came they went to this house for a ladder to top a few cocks of hay. When they were finished they left the ladder back when it was about getting dark. They were going to put the top of the ladder in the window, when an awful noise began inside, and tramped up the stairs as if it were horses that went up. They both ran home as quickly as they could.
