  1. In Kinlough district which is 7 miles or so from here was a landlord named Johnston. His descendants are still there but of course, they own very little of land compared with that of the former man.
    He had several Catholic men working on his farm. He himself was a terrible bigot and refused to let any of his Catholic workmen off to mass on Holidays, such as June 29th. This day the priest came to him.
