    It is a rabbit warren and on this the farmers used to spread seaweed which comes in on the sea shore, for kelp-making. It was an old custom to spread it on this to dry, or throw it here previous to bringing home.
    Cooper refused to allow them and summoned 25 of them. They were arrested and landed in Sligo gaol and kept there for 2 days. When the case came off, the landlord was beaten and the tenants won the day. Later he tried to prevent them from bringing stones, sand etc from sea shore but here again he was beaten.
