    On their way they came across a man whom they questioned as to how to go etc. They made him show them the way and in order to camouflage the people they put a monks cloak on him. Off they set. The path passes close to a deep ravine-100' of fall. While passing this, the man dropped the cloak and the soldiers, thinking they were right, followed it, and fell to the rocks below; and instantly killed. One man got entangled in some brushes and was not killed. The Irishman came back to see how things were and this man asked him to save him
