    This was her credit system and funny as it appears, she decreed a customer for debt a man named Hugh Gilroy who disputed her claim. The case was tried in Ballyshannon, and he was convicted; her only evidence being, the marks or nicks on the stick.
    A similar shop was carried on in Cliffoney by Hugh Clancy. The present owners of this shop are the direct descendants of this man; the present business is bar only.
