    with the potatoes. This was then cut into squares and baked, on either a griddle or oven. When baked it was rubbed over with butter and eaten fairly warm. On special occasions it was used mostly, such as on Set Nights, such as on Easter Sunday Night and at Xmas.
    Noggins were in general use before cups and mugs were used. These were made of wood and were pure white. They were shaped somewhat like a mug but the handle was partly up over the mouth.
