  1. Long ago there lived a man named Paddy and his wife Kitty and their children in a little cottage. They were very poor and they were starving with hunger.
    One day Paddy said to himself that he would go out and get work. He met a man on the road and he asked him did he know anywhere that he would get work.
    he told Paddy that the king would give him five pound if he would stay in a haunted house for a night. paddy went to the King and the king put him into the haunted house.
    During the night when Paddy was sitting at the fire a man came into he room and he went between Paddy and the fire.
    When it was about two O'clock, the man went away.
    In the morning the king came in and opened the door of
