    If midges are high in the sky in the evening the next day will be good; but if they are low in the sky the next day will be bad.
    If you see crickets going out from the fireside it is a sign of good weather; but if you see them coming in it is a sign of bad weather.
    If crows fly together in flocks it is a sign of storm.
    If flies are creeping on the road in the evening it is a sign of good weather.
    If cock-roaches creep on the floor at night it is a sign of good weather.
    If the bees gather their honey early in the year it is a sign of a bad summer.
    If hte midges come out in swarms from under the turf it is a sign of rain.
