  1. Long ago many people in the Parish of Ahamlish suffered from a weak heart.
    This was the cure they had.
    They got water-cress and took a saucerful of it every morning for nine mornings in succession.
    Before it was fit to be taken a pinch of salt was shaken on it. The person who was taking the cure had to be fasting every morning.
