  1. About sixty years ago a man named Master Connolly taught school in Cliffoney, Parish of Ahamlish, Barony of Carbury Co Sligo.
One day the local Landlord Lord Palmerston came into the school with Protestant books and told the Master to give them to the children to read.
When the Master examined the books and saw that Catholic children should not read them he ordered the Landlord out of the school.
Not long after this, the Master lost his job.
Then he went to College and afterwards became a Priest.
