  1. About sixty years ago there lived in the townland of Edenreva, Parish of Ahamlish, Barony of Carbury, Co Sligo, a woman named Mrs Molly Harkin.
    One day after serving her husband and son with dinner she put the pot of water on the fire to cook the supper, which at that time consisted of Indian meal stirabout.
    She then dressed up a little, put on a clean apron and set off walking for the town of Sligo which was fourteen miles distant. Indian meal could not be procured any nearer at the time than Sligo town.
