  1. During the penal times a party of soldiers burned the Castletown Castle which is situated in the Parish of Drumcliffe, Barony of Carbury, Co Sligo. When journeying to Sligo they robbed and killed the monks of the Sligo Abbey.
    After that they were going across the mountain to Manorhamilton and went astray.
    They met a man named O'Connor who was a Catholic and asked him would he show them the way to Manorhamilton.
    They put a monks white habit on him and started on their journey.
    When they were going out at the corner of the Glencar mountains, the man jumped out of the habit and let it fall
