  1. Long ago when a person suffered from a severe pain in his or her stomach, he or she had to lie down and wriggle with pain. This pain was known as the "Colic."
    The following was the cure for the pain -
    The person who was suffering got a tacked shoe and burned it under his or her nose. Most people got cured.
    "Colic" is now called "Appendicitis" and people have to be operated on immediately they are attacked.
