  1. Potato cakes used to be made in Killorglin long ago. This is how they used be made:-
    First of all one would get cold potatoes and mash them. Then one would mix some flour with the mashed potatoes also a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of bread-soda. Then one would knead the dough and flatten and cut little square cakes and place them in the oven to bake.
