  2. There was a great house in Ballinafercy which is now demolished. There lived an old rich gentleman in it named Myles. He had beautiful trees growing around his house. He wanted no one to touch them.
    An old man told this story about himself. When he was a young boy he wanted to cut a hurling stick off a tree there. The instrument he used to cut it was a piece of an old scythe and a stone.
