    Christmas is over and I please you every sinner,

    From East to West the channel fleet went rolling down her throat,
    It may be lies I'm telling you by the bundle or the score
    'Tis the truth and help me, Bob, and I'll tell you something more.
    To make a fire to roast this goose, five million men had work.
    It reached, they say, from Dublin Bay and to the Cobh of Cork,
    But between the goose and stuffing she weighed fifty million stone,
    Balfour with his castle band went out to play at home.
    Now England may be boasting of deeds that she can do
