- The old people say that there are many secrets hidden, but this is about a gold pig they say it is buried in Kerryhead.
People say that there was an old man and his wife near that place and they were always quarrelling and one day the man took the golden pig with him and buried it. When he arrived home his wife asked him where did he put the golden pig. He answered that if you stood in the hallow where you would see the chimneys of Keel and the top of Irish mountain, that is the place where the golden pig hidden.
Some of the old people say that the gold is buried in John Carroll's ground and they say that there is a big quarry of stones over it. Others say that it is buried in Glenderry mountain. It is said that long ago some old man dreamt that it was in Carroll's ground but he was afraid to go for it.
It is said that the ship came into Keel harbour and that the man went into it there was no one in it but a cat and a dog there he found the golden pig.
