  1. The goose is a very large bird. She is bigger than a turkey. The most common colour of geese is white. Every farmer keeps geese.
    The goose lays about twelve eggs in the year. The eggs are nearly the size of a mangold. They are of a greenish, white colour. My mother puts her hatching every year. When the goose is hatching the first thing my mother does is to get a big box. Then she puts the eggs into the box and puts the goose on them. She hatches for about four weeks.
    Then the young birds come out, then their mother leads them to the fields with the other geese. If you go near them they would follow you and you would get afraid of them, because all
