  1. Once upon a time a boy who was given to drink and gambling was coming home late one night very displeased with himself for having his money spent. He met a man on the road and he offered him some money to give himself up to him on a certain night.
    The boy being glad to get the offer, promised that he would. The boy had a great time with the money. As the time was drawing near when he should give himself up to the man the boy was getting very uneasy. He made up his mind to go to the parish priest and ten him his story and he decided on asking him if he could do anything for him but the priest refused.
    The curate said he would go that night with him. The curate came along bringing with him holy water and a chalice. When they came to the spot the priest made a circle around the boy with the holy water. In a few minutes the man came and said
