    Clashmealcon is a townland in the vicinity of Slievadara Girls' School.
    It is bounded on one side by the ocean and in days gone by it was from this place all the people of the townland got the manure for their crops. This manure was called sea weed.
    There was no way to take an animal or cart because the place is too rocky and the cliffs too high and the only way they had for bringing it to the top was by baskets or by horses and ropes.
