    up to him and asked him would he join in the hunt. The man said he had no horse but the horseman said he would give him a horse. They both came out of the fort and there was the horse ready for the other man. The horseman said that he wasn't to say a word until he came back to the fort again. The chase started off again over bog and moorland until they came to a river and then the fairies had to fall back because they couldn't cross the river. The farmer was the only one to cross and he was so delighted that he shouted "Well done Peggy" because for the moment he thought it was his own horse. When he had said these words all of a sudden he found himself standing on the ground beside his own plough that was
