    It is called a stall. Some cows are tied with a chain round the neck and others are baled between two poles and there is a hasp over head to keep the bales from opening.
    Every cow is four feet from each other. Some cows are tied by the horns with a rope. In olden times the tyings were made of the hair of the cow's tail.
    Long ago there was a branch of the summer tree or ferns or a furze bush hung on the cow-house but there is no such a thing now.
