The 25th March years ago was the Cross Day, the tenants have to give up possession of their houses. They had to quench the fires and put the cinders outside the door and pull a fist of the thatch and give it to the Landlord.
March and April are the months for setting the potatoes in this district and the same time the corn is sown. Mangolds and turnips are sown in May and June.
