  1. About fifty years ago a ship came wrecked into Ballyheigue Bay loaded with barley. The people took possession of the ship. They sold the grain to the Mc Cowens in Tralee and they used the timber for roofing houses and for firing.
There was a house burned in Ardagh about 100 years ago it belonged to a Sullivan family. They were evicted out of it and the same evening it was grabbed again by a man named Carroll and that night the house was burned by a girl of the O'Sullivans.
