  1. Once upon a time there was an old woman and she had three sons. One of the sons heard that the king would give his daughter to any man that would make a ship that would sail without wind or water. The eldest of the three boys went to the woods and cut a tree to see would he be able to make the ship. When he had the tree cut and cleaned, a little red man came up to the boy and asked him what was he doing. The boy said he was making a gate, the little man said "A gate it is and a gate it will be" and it turned into a gate at once. The boy went home very sorrowful. The second boy came and the same thing happened him. The youngest boy went to the woods and the little red man came up to him and asked what was he doing. The boy told him
