So jaypers when he was comin' over the fort he heard the damndest cryin', he thought, an' yellin'. They say he could never explain it but a shockin' fear shook him all over and his two legs began to bend under him. He thought the heart was goin' to lep out o' his mouth with the dint o' fright. Away with him helther skelther for home when he stood an' says he to himself. "Damid if it was only for curiosity sake to peep in an' see who was in it, I had right to stan' me ground." So out of pure curiosity back he goes an' agin he heard the roarin an' shoutin' but o' course he left braver now an' he goes to the cove where he saw an awful crowd o' leprechauns an' fairies and them havin' a terrible row. Says he in an awful roar "What the divil are ye at here". Every one of the fairies fell dead with fear an' bejaypers didn't one o' the leprechauns thank him for savin' them.
