  1. There was an old woman once who lived in a little cabin and the first one that would see the light at night was supposed to die immediately. All the people of the district used to close their doors early and close the shuts of the windows afraid they would see the light until St. Patrick came into the district and the people told him about the light and he followed the old woman and what was the old women only a serpent and she went into the lake and he killed it with his spear.
