  1. There lived a man in Carrowrile named Neil O'Donnell. He never could get milk from the cows in the morning. So this morning he got up early to see who was milking the cows. So out he went and what did he see only a hare sucking a cow, and sitting on a chair. He went in and got the gun and went out to shoot her. He fired a shot but he couldn't shoot her.
    He was telling the people about it and they told him to put a threepenny bit in the gun. So the next morning he was waiting for her and he shot her.
