  1. The local landlord of this village was Major Perceval of Templehouse. He was a good man to the poor and treated them very kindly. He put no one out of their lands if they were not able to pay the rent. He was the heir of his father who owned the lands before him. He had a battle with Cinty O'Rorke and he killed him.
